John C. Motter House

My office is in the John C. Motter house- Maryland Court Judge John C. Motter made this building his home for 30 years. The home was built around 1880, when this part of Frederick was rural and the home was surrounded by farmlands owned by Ezra Staley. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places because it is an ornate, unusual example of the Queen Anne style of architecture.
